Born in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, Luis Espinoza’s life has been a remarkable journey shaped by his dedication to the community and unwavering commitment to his ideals. His story is one of resilience and leadership, with a focus on authentic connections rather than corporate jargon.

Luis embarked on his educational path at the American Junior College, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration, with a particular emphasis on Sales and Marketing.

From 2001 to 2022, Luis served as the Director Publisher of LA NOTICIA DE MS, the pioneering Spanish-language newspaper in Mississippi. It started as a print publication, but in January 2019, Luis oversaw its digital transformation, ensuring that it reached even wider audiences through digital platforms.

In January 2019, Luis took on the role of Lead Organizer at MIRA, a pivotal moment in his career. His duties included maintaining essential connections with the immigrant community, organizing work meetings, and facilitating workshops in various cities within the area. This role allowed him to empower and uplift those who needed it most.

Luis’s impact extended beyond journalism and community organizing. He played a pivotal role in founding the Mississippi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, becoming its President. This organization was a testament to his dedication to fostering economic growth and opportunities for the Hispanic community in Mississippi.

Furthermore, Luis selflessly served as a board member of both the Mississippi Hispanic Association and the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health, further cementing his commitment to enhancing the lives of minorities in his community.
