“Here I’ll Stay,” a documentary produced by Lorena Manriquez and Marlene McCurtis, debuted on Field of Vision June 8, 2017 at 10 am EDT. The 10-minute mini-documentary focuses on the work of the Mississippi immigrants Rights Alliance (MIRA) and more specifically “Civic Engagement Day.” Both immigrants and allies spent an entire day at the Mississippi State Capitol speaking with local legislators about the anti-immigrant bills introduced during the Spring 2017 legislative session.
